Intro Ski Touring Trip

Intro Ski Touring Trip

Tid

Beskrivelse

Hey everyone who is interested to try out skitouring for the first time!

This is an interest form for a potential introduction to ski touring trip with OSI Friluft. If there is enough people interested then the trip will be happening either: Friday March 27th or Saturday March 28th.

The plan is to: leave early in the morning, drive about 2.5-3 hours one-way, go on a ski tour and be out as long as the weather allows and be back in Oslo in the evening.

The trip is focused on first time ski touring and welcomes people from all levels of experience! Note that this should not be your first time on skis though and that we require you to have checked (ideally tested) your equipment before! You should be able to ski on different kinds of terrain, and be able to handle cold temperatures.

Registering your interest in this form does not guarantee that the trip takes place (but will make it more likely) or that you get a spot on the trip if it does. There might also be more people interested than we have spots. As such, we might not be able to give everyone a spot on this trip, but we encourage you to sign up for other trips if we have more. Note that you have to be a member of OSI Friluft to join this trip (or become one before going in case you aren't yet).

For this trip you'll need to have your own equipment (we might have some avalanche gear you can borrow if you lack your own, but we don't have any skis/boots etc.), or rent/borrow. You can try to rent it also from BUA, Athletica, Finn.no or Hygglo.

OSI Friluft only organizes the trip, i.e. books travel arrangements, but we are not in any way responsible for the safety of the members. Ski touring/Backcountry skiing is an inherently risky activity. Participants make their own choices of being in the mountain in winter, with all the risks entailed, such as cold temperatures, difficult terrain, falling, crashing, and avalanche dangers. We do not limit participants from venturing into terrain that's prone to avalanches, but will try to limit dangerous situations as much as we can. However, we are not educated guides or avalanche instructors, but merely students wanting to organize trips with others who're keen on skiing in the mountains.
